YUKON SHINEVALLEY EXPEDITION...
This company was born 6 years ago from the desire of exploring the wilderness and sharing with people the amazing beauty of these untouch sceneries. We wanted people to be able to live those incredible adventures and have a little piece of this Yukon lifestyle we're dedicated to. As partner in life we been working together to get this project come true. Always ready to leave for another expedition, either with the company of our horse or sleddogs. They've been part of our life and travel for so many years now, they are just like old friends coming along the way. We have presently in our team 35 huskies and 22 horses.
We welcome you in our home base near Fish lake, 25 min from Whitehorse, a quick access to the trail for the back country. Our base camp away from the city is quiet and comfortable. You'll lodge in one of our log cabins or Yurt heated by a woodstove. Out of range of electricity and water, you'll feel away from civilization. Alternative system such like solar panel, sauna are in place to offers you all the comfort you need away from home.
Guide. Born in Québec , Pierre move to Yukon to realized a dreams, explore the wilderness. Fascinated by open spaces and the wildlife around, he travel by himself along the valleys and mountains, pack horse in summer and in sleddog in winter. With the years Pierre have gain a accurate knowledge of the land, bush skills and survival. Interested in, he learned the tradition of trapping. Since 20 years, now he's been guiding visitors around the world into his back country to share this amazing scenery. Passionated and caring, it's with enthousism that Pierre will share all his stories.
Owner manager and assistant guide, Born in Québec, after travelling a little everywhere Véronique find is homestead in Yukon, attracted this land of big space and possibilities. Since 4 years, she's been working with Pierre on the expeditions, winter like summer. Her bush skills are more then useful and appreciated when time comes to cook a tasty meal on fire camp, organized and bring life to the camp. Training all the sleddogs and carrying for them she will teach you everything a musher need to know. Passionated and enthousism she will transmit you her love of this country and of her strange life style.
