2 days PACK horse trip
If your in the same spirit and wants to enjoy the summer, discover new landscape or others way to travel, here is a good occasion. For this summer will be offering special overnight tours for locals around Fish Lake area, riding for 2 days in alpine plateau surrounded by mountains, learn some packing techniques and enjoy a good evening around a camp fire together. We got the gear ready, we like to share our passion, so why not get out there.

Day 1 We meet at the ranch at 10 am, will explain a little bit our way to work with horses, show the horse gear and packing equipment. We will then assign everyone their horse for the trip depending on your level of experience. Together we saddle all the horses and get them ready. You will received a saddle bag to put your personnel items for the day as well as a dry bag to put your luggage in. We'll distribute the equipment in the packing bag and box, weight everything so we're ready to go. After a lunch at the ranch. We pack the horse together and we go for a 4 hours ride up in the Bonneville area overlooking Fish lake. We will set up camp near a little alpine lake. Will give the care to the horses, cut some wood, get water, set up tents and cook a nice meal over the fire. Depending what you want to do and learn their task for everyone. You're welcome to go for a little walk in the evening.
Day 2 After a good night rest, we pack up the gear, enjoy a nice warm breakfast and saddle up the horses. After finishing packing camp and the horses, off we go to Marmott pass a higher pass in the mountain (1800m) for an amazing view of Ibex. We'll have lunch up there, let the horse rest and eat as it is a good climb. It is a caribou and grizzly habitat. In the afternoon will ride back toward the ranch. it is a good 6 hours in the saddle. |
